OBJECT WRITING
WHO WHAT WHERE WHEN
Songwriting takes some practice, we know that! This is something you can work on, spend a little time with your senses. Isolate a sense at a time or use them all and try to look at one object and get as much information as you can. Describe the object with details let your senses paint a picture. This can really give you lite more colors to your palette of words and the art of telling a story with your senses. Object writing and writing with your senses is a way to work on getting a more specific angle of a story or more get a more detailed emotion into the lyrics. When it comes to object writing we can also chose to be working with one or more objects at the time. We can tell a situation from a ”what” perspective or we can tell a story from a ”when” perspective. We can also include a little bit of both and we probably will. We’re gonna work on each object and isolate, exercise and feed our songwriting mind with new seeds to grow
